A new report and language by Dr Apurv Chauhan and Prof Juliet Foster, Homelessness Impact, examines how everyday language can reinforce stigma surrounding homelessness. Titled Homelessness and the Language of Stigma, the guide analyses thousands of references to homelessness across media and social media. It offers clear, evidence-based recommendations for making changes to the language we use on homelessness.
The work was covered in the Parliamentary Magazine (The House) and by King’s IoPPN News. The full guide is available via the Centre for Homelessness Impact.
